#JenWhyArt is back. We've teamed up with Design Beijing to present the Jen Style Exhibition, making our common areas even more enjoyable for guests and visitors. We're excited to present the work of ARTNOM and Wang Yi.
关于ARTNOM About ARTNOM
ARTNOM的职业生涯开始于角色设计师，擅长将东方的绘画神韵融合进现代绘画之中，试图最大化彼此的差异，并将原创元素融入他的艺术中。他的艺术成果，带来了很多不同地方的热情邀约，与知名品牌合作及创作装置艺术。通过与SamSung和Hyundai的合作，他和他的画作广为传播，出现在如三星Galaxy S3，现代I-Park，龙山车站，Capri，blackmartinesitbon，adidas，cledor等品牌中。
ARTNOM started his career as a character designer in the late 90s, combining traditional paintings and characters. Through his work, audiences experience a uniquely Asian artistic spirit, while the differences between East and West, tradition and innovation, and past and present are minimised. In addition to prominent gallery exhibitions, ARTNOM has collaborated on projects with top global companies like Samsung, adidas, Hyundai, Yongsan Station Mall, Capri, blackmartinesitbon and more.
ARTNOM的新画作——“形式是空虚，空虚是形式”的系列，以空虚开始他的对话，避免了基于关系的痴迷和痛苦。同时，结合传统的民间绘画方法与基色混合来呈现有趣的画面。他的艺术作品不是单一而静止的，感觉像在浮动并反复散射，仿佛随心所欲。由于绘制了有趣的世界，他在年轻的心灵中过着幸福的生活。令人愉悦的颜色有助于控制情绪并治愈抑郁的心灵。我们希望观众拥有ARTNOM纯净而有趣的世界，并在繁杂的现代生活中通过这次展览得以治愈。
ARTNOM’s latest series, ‘Form is emptiness, Emptiness is form’, opens a dialogue on emptiness, obsession and anguish in relationships. He uses traditional folk painting methods and vibrant, primary colours to project relatable, humourous and familiar stories.
关于王艺 About Wangyi
艺术家王艺是中国国家画院雕塑院执行院长，国家一级美术师，曾举办《非常自我》、《王艺2016研究展》、《调调Tiao/Diao——王艺2018研究展》等个展，多次参加国内外艺术展览。2017年获凤凰艺术年奖“最佳雕塑艺术奖”。出版有多部艺术类学术专著、文章，诗歌及杂文等。
Artist Wangyi is the Executive Dean of the Sculpture Institute and a Researcher at the China National Academy of Painting. The artist has participated in exhibitions here at home and abroad, and also held solo exhibitions including Beyond Ego, Wang Yi 2016 Research Exhibition, Modification/Modulation-Wang Yi 2018 Research Exhibition, and was awarded Best Sculpture Artist at the Phoenix Art Awards 2017.
王艺的作品《礼乐图》受到敦煌壁画的启发，整合了民间绘画的勾线平涂法和敦煌壁画中的勾勒形式，连续的图案交叠拼排，浓丽明快的色彩相互映照。在大尺幅的画面中，舞蹈装的宽袍人物皆有写意人物画特有的谐趣，简略但形态鲜明。这些踏歌而行的舞者如同神域中的仙人，给人壮丽肃穆、高古超逸的观感。
Wangyi also publishes monographs, articles, poems and essays. His series ‘Rites and Music’ is inspired by the Dunhuang Caves, and portrays immortal dancers using vibrant colours.
艺术介入公共空间也是近年艺术圈比较热门的话题，新国贸饭店与设计北京的此次展览合作，将优秀艺术家的作品带到公共空间，通过环保的方式呈现，让来往酒店的宾客都可近距离与艺术接触。
